Artist Manager Melbourne / Berlin / Japan (Remote) +

We are seeking an Artist Manager to work directly with Whitvoir artists and collaborators across Melbourne and key international markets. You will be responsible for guiding careers, managing relationships, and shaping opportunities that are both artistically rigorous and commercially sustainable.

This is a relationship- and strategy-focused role at the intersection of artist representation, production, and partnership development. You will work closely with leadership and external partners to represent artists, build networks, shape opportunities, and support projects from early conversations through to delivery.

What You'll Do

Artist & Project Management

  • Serve as primary contact for a selected group of Whitvoir artists
  • Develop medium- and long-term career plans tailored to each artist's practice
  • Coordinate projects and collaborations
  • Ensure artists are supported logistically, contractually, and emotionally through key moments

Strategy & Operations

  • Contribute to Whitvoir's artist roster strategy and market positioning
  • Identify and pursue opportunities across Melbourne, Asia, and Europe
  • Maintain database records of projects, income, and agreements
  • Provide insights on trends in global electronic music ecosystems
  • Collaborate with content and production teams to align communications with artist priorities

About You

You don't need a traditional "music manager" title, but you do need real experience at the intersection of artists, promoters, and partnerships.

Must-haves

  • Based in Melbourne, Berlin, or Japan with ability to work across different timezones
  • 3+ years' experience in artist management, creative agency account management, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with artists or promoters
  • Strong relationship-building skills; comfortable talking to artists, partners, and brands
  • Confident managing timelines, budgets, and multi-stakeholder projects
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Existing networks in Australian, Asian, or European markets
  • Experience negotiating artist or partnership contracts
  • Additional language skills (German, Japanese, or any Asian language)

How We Work

  • Hybrid & flexible with flexibility around hours and remote work
  • Small, focused team working closely with the founder and core collaborators
  • Artist-centered decisions grounded in what sustains artists and their practices
  • International mindset with active conversations and projects across Asia-Pacific and Europe

What We Offer

  • Shape long-term careers rather than just single bookings or releases
  • Exposure to underground scenes and established platforms globally
  • Flexibility around show schedules, late-night events, and timezone differences
  • Compensation commensurate with experience (performance/commission structure)
